A Seminar on Evolution

Hi, y’all, my name is Deke. With a first word, well second word, y’all, and a name like Deke you might take me as a redneck southerner. Where my mom and dad got the name Deke, I have no idea. And they haven’t been able to tell me over the last thirty-five years either. I’m an auto mechanic working on I.C.E. cars. For those of you that don’t know, that stands for an internal combustion engine. It also stands for buggy whips or soon to be extinct. You have heard of Tesla, Lucid, the new Ford F-150, the promises of GM, and just about all the other automakers? When that happens I.C.E mechanics won’t be much needed. And it’s going to happen in my lifetime.I guess we’re like dinosaurs. Most of us are going to go extinct, but the ones lucky enough to be birds live on. I have seen the writing on the wall for years.I’m an auto mechanic, that runs a good-sized shop. I’m hoping it’ll give me the ability to evolve into a bird. Part of my evolution attempt is deciding whether to kaçak iddaa focus on EV repair or focus on specializing in what’s going to be left.   My shop is in a small city near the San Francisco Bay Area and I was attending a seminar in Oakland near the Oakland airport. This wasn’t some theoretical seminar talking generalities but what skills EV mechanics will need. The attendees were mostly single shop owners or chain shop foremen, not executives from the big chainsI met Joyce, a woman I knew from some of the other meetings. We had been friendly before so I asked her to go to lunch with me to talk. And…It seemed we both were interested in evolution in the same way I was and we spent time talking about how our business was evolving.
